If the PDF displays correctly but prints on a paper printer incorrectly, it's most often a issue with Adobe Reader or the printer driver. To resolve the problem:. Adobe frequently fixes printing related problems in updates.
If updating Adobe Reader or the printer driver software doesn't fix the problem, you can try changing an Adobe Reader setting. In the Adobe Reader print dialog, click on the "Advanced" button in the lower left corner of the dialog, and then enable the option labelled "Print as image" in the "Advanced Print Setup" dialog.
I found this also works with Adobe Reader for Mac. Select 'Advanced' at top of print dialogue box and then select 'Print as image'. Maria Haas.

I have this issue with some of my pdf's - where some lines of text appear gray rather than black. Win2PDF support. Catherine, The Adobe Reader "smooth text" option can sometimes make text look gray. Only thing that worked for me was to check the " Print in grayscale" option on the Print dialogue box.
Rachel Leah. When I print from Adobe to my Canon printer, it shows on the print preview but cuts off of the bottoms of my pages when it prints.
It's driving me crazy. Any ideas on what to do? It's a pattern I'm printing. Many printers are not able to print to the edge of the page. The gap at the bottom may be a printer margin limitation.

Frances Greaves. I am having the same problem printing as an image, it comes out grey not helpful when trying to print bar code.
I've tried turning off the "smooth text" but it's made no difference. If bar codes are still being displayed as gray, try turning off "smooth line art" in the Adobe Reader "Page Display" preferences.

Lesley Huff. I had that same problem. I change the option to "Shrink oversized pages" and my border printed.
Hope this helps. However, my text still prints in grayscale.
